Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. Your code, data, and API keys stay on your machine.

About the Author: Alex Chen

Alex Chen is a senior full-stack software engineer with twelve years of professional experience building web applications, internal tooling, and developer infrastructure across startups and mid-size technology companies. Alex has worked primarily in JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystems — React, Node.js, Next.js — with significant backend experience in Python and Go. Current work focuses on developer experience (DX) tooling and API design.

Dev Utility Pro grew out of a personal frustration: the best developer tools online were increasingly being wrapped in SaaS paywalls, cluttered with ads, or — most troublingly — handling sensitive data like API keys and JWTs server-side when there was no technical reason to do so. Alex built these tools to be genuinely client-side, genuinely free, and genuinely useful to the working developer who just needs a quick answer without a workflow interruption.

Alex holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington and contributes to several open-source projects focused on developer tooling and static analysis. When not writing code or content, Alex writes about software architecture, API design patterns, and the practical tradeoffs in modern frontend development.
